Coventry is currently seeking a Manager, Medical Technology Assessment to work in either our Kansas City, MO office or Bethesda, MD office location on our Medical Administration team.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

In the role as Manager, Medical Technology Assessment you will assist in the coordination of the New Technology Assessment Program and serve as a liaison between the health plans and the corporate office with respect to medical management issues.

 

The essential responsibilities of the Manager, Medical Technology Assessment are:

• Research and review new medical technology requests. Analyze published peer review literature, create a new medical technology document and recommend a benefit determination for Corporate Medical Director review.

• Ensure new technology determinations are made available to the health plans. • Assist in the development of Corporate policies and procedures.

• Facilitate communication between the health plans and Corporate office with respect to medical management issues.

• Performs other duties as required.

 

The ideal Manager, Medical Technology Assessment will possess the following:

• Registered nurse with current state RN license and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Managed care experience desirable.

• Excellent customer service, communication, organization, interpersonal, and delegation skills.

• Experience with MS Word required and Excel preferred.

• Must be extremely accurate and detail oriented.

• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
